Samsung has announced that it is to host YouTube’s first 3D content service on its Smart TV and Smart Hub platform. The new stereoscopic video streaming channel will be available via a new app, which will initially be completely exclusive to the South Korean consumer electronics giant. 

In addition, it has introduced a new model of its super-thin bezeled D8000 LED TV. The 60D8000 is much like its smaller brethren, but sports a side-bursting 60-inch screen. It’s 3D, features the company’s Smart TV Internet and app platform, and certainly caused a wow at Samsung’s IFA press conference in Berlin.

Other than this, it’s all about the apps for Samsung at IFA this year. Michael Zoller, the company’s European marketing director of TV/AV promises that, "We are going to launch 10 new apps for Smart TVs every business day."
