Virgin Media continues Spotify partnersip with in-browser app, including V Festival playlist
First we saw the Spotify app appear on Virgin Media's TiVo service; now the tables have been turned and you can access a Virgin Media application through Spotify's desktop browser.
Using its in-house music experts, Virgin Media offers full reviews of new albums through its own Spotify portal, with links allowing you to listen to the content yourself or add the tracks to your playlist collection. Not only will major releases from big names be covered, but also new rising stars will be promoted, letting you check out music you might not otherwise have heard of.
In addition, Virgin Media will be putting together a series of playlists collated by its team, with the most topical being a collection of tracks by artists performing at this year's V Festival (running on 18 and 19 August in Chelmsford and Stafford).
The app is a free addition to Spotify subscribers and can be accessed now.
"We know our customers love entertainment and with a huge base of music fans, partnering with Spotify has given them a great way to enjoy the latest albums and tracks across all our services, be it online, on TiVo or on mobile," said Nick Forward, editor in chief of digital entertainment.
