Toshiba is launching two new standalone DVD players for 2005, the SD-350E and the entry level SD-150E (

The new SD-350E and SD-150E DVD players feature a hot stamp silver finish and slimline design standing just 42mm and 49mm respectively. Both players incorporate Component Video with PAL Progressive Scan.
The SD-350E and SD-150E are compatible with DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, SVCD, VCD, CD, CD-R and CD-RW. In addition, MP3 and JPEG picture playback come as standard on both models.
The SD-350E is HDMI compatible and can up convert images to 576p, 720p and 1080i to fit the increased resolution of an HD ready screen. This model also has the ability to playback DivX movies recorded to CD-R/ROM discs.
