Toshiba today announced the follow-up to their BDX2000 Blu-ray player, cunningly called the BDX2100.

The new player will offer 1080/24p for that cinematic experiences as well as upscaling SD content.

It will be BD Live profile 2 compliant, with 265MB of flash memory onboard. There will also be a USB connection, offering playback of pictures, music and video on your TV, supporting DivX, JPEG, WMA, MP3 AVCHD and MKV file formats.

The BDX2100 will decode Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio with support for 7.1 audio via HDMI, with digital coaxial output also offered.

The Toshiba BDX2100KB will be hitting shops in May 2010 and can be yours for a bargainous £129.99.
