Sony has unveiled the Bravia Z5500 that gets Sony’s Motionflow 200Hz and Image Blur Reduction technology, claiming to provide an "immersive" Full HD experience.

Motionflow 200Hz calculates three additional frames for every original, upping the frame rate from 50 to 200 per second while the Image Blur Reduction "cleans" the original frames before new frame insertion for what's said to be sharper images.

The Z5500 features BRAVIA Engine 3, is DNLA-certified, Bravia Sync ready and offers "AppliCast", that, thanks to the TV's Ethernet port and internet connection, can display RSS feeds and widgets on screen.

With eco features such as an "Energy Saving Switch", auto-shut-off and "Idle TV" mode and available in three screen sizes - 40-inch, 46-inch and 52-inch - the Bravia Z5500 is due late June, and is expected to be priced at around £1800 on
