Sony has confirmed that it will be bringing its new range of Bravia televisions announced in America last month to the UK.

The new model, which will carry the name D3000-Series will offer the company's TheatreSync technology that offers a one-button command that integrates the operation of the TV with external components connected via an HDMI cable.

Other features include 24p True Cinema incorporated into the Bravia D3000-Series and the promise of a boosted refresh rate from the standard 50Hz to 100Hz using Motionflow +100Hz technology.

According to Sony, this creates and adds extra frames based on the originals, causing the eye to perceive motion as far smoother and more realistic than in the unenhanced source.

Motionflow +100Hz works with both sources using film-based contents and standard TV and DVD, imparting smoothness to everything you see.

Sony also announced the Bravia S3000-Series LCD TV, which also offers the Theatre Sync connectivity.

The S3000 will first be available in screen sizes of 40 and 32 inch, with the the line-up to be extended in autumn 2007, then covering screen sizes from 20 to 46 inch. No launch date as yet been set for the D3000 series.
