Sky has found a bug in its iPhone and iPad Sky+ Remote app that would have caused confusion had it not been found before the clocks go forward in the UK this Sunday.

The good news, though, is that Sky has found the bug, fixed it and now offers an update in the Apple App Store.

“We have identified a bug in the existing Sky + application for iPhone and iPad. When the clocks go forward on Sunday the application will fail to recognise the time change. To fix this download the latest update. The guide will function normally from Monday. Any recordings you make on Sunday will work correctly," says the broadcaster in the blurb on its app page.

Sky+ Remote is an app designed for Sky users to allow them to remotely record programmes and view the channel planner from an Apple device without having to access the EPG on a TV.

The company hopes to eventually use the app to let users access and manage the planner on their device, Series Link your favourite shows wherever you are, “take control” by turning a iPhone and iPad into a remote control, and access its Never Miss notifications - which let you know when your favourite show, movie or match is about to air.

To update your app go to the App Store and press update.
