If you don't like the idea of your little cherubs accidentally stumbling across the raunchy antics of Hank Moody in Californication, have them witness Walter White cooking up crystal meth in Breaking Bad, or subject them to the loose and foul tongue of Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It, you'll be pleased to know about the launch of Netflix Just for Kids on the PS3.

Netflix for Kids "makes it easier and more fun for kids and families to browse and instantly watch a large selection of child-friendly TV programmes and films". It was introduced to the streaming platform in August last year on PC, Mac, Nintendo Wii and Apple TV, but its introduction on to the popular console should come as welcome relief to parents. It is due to hit the Xbox 360 soon as well.

The shows selected are designed for under-12s and the section is sub-divided into genres such as superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs and girl power.

Titles include A Wrinkle In Time, Paddington Bear Film Fair, Even Stevens, Pingu, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and Inspector Gadget's Last Case.

It's available now. Netflix has a free month's trial offer in case you still haven't signed up. It's then £5.99 a month.
