LG has launched its new XCanvas range of eco-friendly LCD TVs in Korea.

As the latest company to jump on the green wagon, LG's new XCanvas range demonstrates perfectly that you don't have to forego aesthetics in order to do your bit for the environment.

In a piano black finish with a choice of 47", 42" and 32"screens, the new HDTVs are nothing short of stunning - yet the real feature of the series is the integrated four-step power saving option.

This includes minimum sleep, intermediate sleep, hibernate and screen off - all of which go someway to providing the 70% saving on power consumption the range aims for, saving the planet and your pocket in one fell swoop.

Cinema Colour technology is included across the range for top picture quality, and while it doesn't appear to be as thin as some of its competitors (namely Panasonic's Neo PDP Eco), it may prove slightly friendlier on your wallet.

That said, there's been no indication of price or availability as yet, but we'll be sure to get that information to you when we have it. Until then, check out the pictures from the launch.
