ITV HD's debut broadcast of The Bill on Freesat did not go to plan.
The broadcaster was due to show the first episode of a brand new six-part story "Conviction Cover Up" in high definition, but this was not to be the case.
Those tuning in to watch the police drama in five times the resolution that standard definition television currently offers were disappointed.
Although the show was broadcast as planned, there was no red button prompt required to access the HD feed.
In addition, those that tried to record the show in high def were equally disappointed with no programming saved.
