PVR specialist Humax has issued a statement about the problems that many of its customers have been having with the Humax PVR-9150T, Humax PVR-9300T, and particularly the Humax PVR-9200T, and released a fix for the issues.
Since the digital switchover, consumers have complained about slowdowns, freezes and crashing in the software - which Humax blames on the increasing complexity of the UK's broadcast infrastructure, saying: "We recognise this has regrettably caused frustration and problems for some of our PVR-9300T and PVR-9150T users, and in particular those with the older PVR-9200T models".
The company's engineers have put together a fix that resolves the issues, and futureproofs devices against similar problems occurring again. The company says that it's managed to "significantly reduce the time it takes to display the on-screen electronic programme guide information, from many minutes to seconds".
The update will be rolled out OTA to affected devices within weeks, so keep switching your device on and checking for updates. It'll also be made available on the company's website, if you prefer to do things manually.
