Google TV will either launch on the 29 September or the 17 October according to two different sources detailing information about two different products to US gadget site Engadget.

The first source suggests that Logitech's Revue, Logitech's Google TV offering, will be launching on 29 September with a suggested price of $299.

The second source is a leaked document from US retailer Best Buy suggesting that the launch will be slipping two weeks from an unofficial launch date internally pinned as the 3 October:

"the launch of GoogleTV that was planned for 10/3 has been pushed back 2 weeks."

Either the Logitech Revue is jumping the gun, or the tipster hasn't been told about the new delay.

Google has yet to confirm an official date for the launch for its new TV set top box however always said that it would officially launch the service in the US in time for the Holidays with a global rollout expected in 2011.

Sony has also confirmed that it will be adding the Google TV service to a TV that it will launch before the end of the year in the US.
