BT Vision customers are in for a treat, as it's just been announced that two new deals will give its customers 3D films at home for the first time.

As part of an agreement between NBC and BT, video-on-demand rights for all 3D movies NBC releases will be available over the next 12 months to BT Vision customers.

The two titles already in the pipeline are Step Up 3D (available 29 November) and Despicable Me, which will be on BT Vision from 14 March 2011.

Marc Watson, chief executive of BT Vision, said: "We already have an extensive catalogue of more than 500 movies in the UK courtesy of our long-term deals with major Hollywood studios and independents like Vertigo. Now Vision viewers can experience films at home in fantastic 3D, thanks to these new deals. This is just the start of 3D on Vision - viewers can expect to hear much more from us in the coming months".

This adds to BT Vision's growing content delivered through Freeview channels and over-broadband video-on-demand, where you can pay-per-view or subscribe to the various channels.

To see StreetDance in 3D will cost £5.99 (£4.99 for HD, £ 3.99 for SD), Step Up 3D will be £5.99 (£4.99 for HD, £3.99 for SD) and Despicable Me pricing will be available early 2011.
