The BBC has updated the CBeebies Playtime app, giving your little ones the chance to join in with Andy's Dinosaur Adventures.

With this latest update, the app will tie in to the new programming on the CBeebies channel, Andy's Dinosaur Adventures. In the new programme, starting on Monday 17 February, CBeebies presenter Andy Day has to go back in time to search for dinosaurs.

The new game offers a range of tasks based around interaction with dinosaurs. You can, of course, learn about dinosaur facts, but younger ones will probably be more enthusiastic about feeding them - making sure they select the right kind of food - or painting the dinosaur different colours.

There's also the option to let children record their own dinosaur roars, which will always be a hit.

The app, which launched in August 2013, brings a range of CBeebies characters to your device. Currently it offers games featuring the Alphablocks, Octonauts, Tree Fu Tom, Something Special, Nina and the Neurons and now Andy's Dinosaur Adventures.

The BBC CBeebies Playtime app is available for Android, iPhone/iPad, Kindle Fire and Windows Phone 8 devices.
