BenQ has added two new DLP projectors to its range.

The MP623 and the MP624 are clamed to be the "ideal solution for the cross-over between data and video projection".

They offer HDMI 1.3 connectivity and a BrilliantColor system which adjusts to deliver the best colours for the surrounding and for the content.

Both deliver a XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, a contrast ratio of 2500:1 and a maximum brightness of 2,500 and 3,000 ANSI lumens, respectively.

And they are also designed for portability at 2.5kg.

Both offer an Eco mode - which offers a low operating noise of 26dB so that the projectors are "hardly audible" during presentations.

BenQ adds that the projectors have a new ventilation system, which extends the service life of the lamp.

Also worth a mention - the projectors have a 5-segment colour wheel and integrated DLP BrilliantColor chipset, as well as a tool that allows the user to control red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow levels individually.

Included with the projector hardware is a protective carry case, remote control, CD manual, and cables for mains & VGA.

The warranty period comprises 36 months including a substitute device during the first 12 months.

UPDATE: The MP623 is £599 and the MP624 is £699.
