IFA 2006: Sharp launch Full HD XV-Z21000 and HD Ready XV-Z3000 DLP projectors
Sharp has launched two new projectors at IFA 2006 in Berlin, Germany including a new high-end full HD DLP projector that projects a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a contrast of up to 12,000:1.
The new flagship model, the XV-Z21000, is the company's first full HD DLP projector and offers HDTV resolutions from 1080p through to 480i.
The model will feature two HDMI connectors, a DVI Plug, an analogue component input, and S-Video support.
The XV-Z21000 will be available in October for just under 10,000 euros, no price as yet on a UK or US price.
The company also used its press conference to launch the XV-Z3000 DLP projector for the home.
The new model, which is also certified HD Ready will deliver 16:9 widescreen format and a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. The unit will also have a contrast level of 6500:1.
It will come with one HDMI socket as well as PC analogue connection to appeal offices for presentations or PC gamers at home.
The XV-Z3000 will be available from today for 2399 euros, no price as yet on a UK or US price.
