Sharp launch the DV-HR480S, DV-HR450S and DV-HR400S HDD DVD players at IFA 2005

Sharp has announced three new HDD/DVD units and two DVD/HiFi video recorders at this years IFA 2005 as the company ventures into areas besides televisions.
The three new players HDD/DVD players; the DV-HR480S, DV-HR450S and DV-HR400S will offer 250Gb, 160Gb and 80Gb and provide up to 320 hours, 205 hours and 100 hours of video recording respectively.
The units will also feature Time Shift function, a record from HD to DVD function and an Electronic Programme Guide.
The recorders will be able to play DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM, VCD, CD-R/RW, MP3 or JPEG CDs.
The recorders will be cost €899, €699 and €599
Sharp also announced the launch of two DVD/VHS machines that allow users to transfer video to DVD easily.
