A company in the UK is planning to launch a digital video download service next week that will allow users to select, buy and download content from major production houses from one central site on the Internet.

The digital box office service, run by The British Internet Broadcasting Company (BiBC), plans to offer movies, comedy and music videos online ahead of more high profile launches by Apple, Napster and Netflix.

Companies that have signed up to deliver their content via BiBC's digital box office include Sanctuary, V2, ITN, Laughing Stock and Vital.

Pocket-lint.co.uk will be attending the launch party next week when we be able to confirm prices and more details.

We will keep you posted.
