Loewe, the Berlin-based maker of high-end AV equipment, has announced its latest wallet-crushing TV - the Loewe Art 37 LED, which joins the Art 46 that was launched back in March.

The 37 is a, you guessed it, 37-inch TV that offers an edge LED blacklight and 100Hz picture processing. It also boasts OPC and VBD+ tech for "superior contrast and razor-sharp pictures with low-level energy consumption".

It's a media streaming friendly TV too with support for photos, video and music courtesy of the Loewe MediaHome media portal and you can go for a model packing a HDD to make use of the MediaNet facilities and digital recording. USB recording is an option too.

Sound is taken care of by pair of 2 x 20W speakers and integrated 40W subwoofer and the Art 37 packs Dolby Digital Plus and comes equipped with integrated AC3 and DTS for 5.1 sound systems.

Priced up at a minimum of £1,795, the Loewe Art 37 LED certainly isn't cheap (especially if you want the HDD version - £2,195) but Loewe insists that it is more than just a TV - it's a piece of art.

"Harmonious integration into the living environment is facilitated by the three attractive colour options: exquisite High Gloss Black, high-tech Chrome Silver, or comfortably warming Mocha," it says.

That comfortably warming Mocha will cost you though - add another £100 to the price.

It's available now.
