Four new high definition Grundig and Goodmans Freesat+ Digital TV recorders, or PVRs, are now available in the UK.

The Grundig Freesat+ HD DTR and the Goodmans Freesat+ HD DTR can store over 300 hours of programmes with their 500GB hard drives. The DTRs also come in a 320GB hard drive version capable of storing up to 200 hours of programmes.

Boasting an 8-day on-screen programme guide, HDMI, Series Link, Split Recording, Schedule Tracking, and two digital tuners - so users can watch one channel and record another - the devices offer pause, rewind - and of course record options for live TV.

Crucially for consumers that want to catch up, all four of the recorders are designed to receive the BBC iPlayer service which is scheduled to get a full launch on Freesat in 2010.

The Grundig and Goodmans Freesat+ HD DTRs are available now at Argos, Comet, Costco, Hughes TV and for approximately £279.99 for the 500GB models and £259 for the 320GB models.
