Leaked press images of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 have just surfaced, revealing the backside and frame of the upcoming tablet, it's claimed.

When it comes to buying tablets, Apple fans likely first consider the iPad Air 2, where as Android fans probably want their own slim and powerful slate with a great screen and battery, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Although it's been a year since that line was refreshed, there's no need to fret, because if the latest rumours are true, a new Galaxy Tab S is coming and could be the best Android tablet yet.

A notable leakster known as @OnLeaks has posted new press images of the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, and in those new images, we allegedly see the rear of the yet-to-be-announced slate. Validating previous leaks and reports, the render also makes it seem as though the Galaxy Tab S2 will forgo a glossy plastic body in favour of the same design as the Galaxy S6, including its metal frame.

The renders indicate as well that the high-end tablet will launch with cellular network connectivity, a SIM card slot, and a microSD card slot (both slots appear side by side in the images). It's hard to tell exact dimensions of the tablet, but older rumors have claimed that Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 might be thinner than iPad Air 2 and will include a 9.7-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 might also come with Samsung's own Exynos octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, among many other things.

Samsung's tablet is expected to debut in June, followed by a worldwide launch.
