The Samsung Galaxy NotePro 12.2-inch tablet is now on sale in the UK as the first in Sammy's new Pro range.

The NotePro features the world's first 12.2-inch, 16:10 display with a stunning 2560 x 1600 resolution. That's not all that puts the Pro in the name, it's also packing an Exynos 5 Octacore CPU (made up of a 1.9GHz quadcore and 1.3GHz quadcore) in the Wi-Fi and 3G models, and a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quadcore in the LTE version. Both are backed with 3GB of RAM and run Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

The NotePro comes with 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras with a top end video of 1080p at 60fps. There are 32GB and 64GB models, each with up to 64GB microSD expansion. And it's all kept chugging along with a 9500mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePro 12.2 is on sale at Carphone Warehouse and John Lewis from today. Expect to pay around £650.

Samsung's Galaxy TabPro models will arrive later in this quarter, Samsung says.
