The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is coming soon, in small-person size. But it's not just the size that's different.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, which has been announced for an 8 November release, is purpose built for the beatings a child gives to toys. It will come with a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM so it should have plenty of power for simple games and puzzles. It will also come with Android 4.1, a 7-inch display at 1024-by-600 pixels, 3-megapixel front camera, 1.3-megapixel rear camera and 8GB storage.

It will arrive with Samsung's new Kid Store which will be packed with apps specifically for little ones, including educational, games, entertainment and e-book apps. The Application Manager allows parents to select exactly what their children have access to.

Simon Stanford, vice-president of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland, said: "We’re seeing technology become ever more popular with children, and wanted to create a tablet that provides kids with interactive and educational content with the added benefit of giving parents control over their children’s tab use."

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids will be on sale on 8 November in the UK from Toys ‘R’ Us, Argos, Shop Direct, Dixons, JLP, Asda and the Samsung Experience store.
