Samsung has revealed that the next member of the Galaxy Note range, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, will be rolled out globally throughout August.

If the original Samsung Galaxy Note left you wanting for a bigger display, then the 10.1-inch screen of the Galaxy Note 10.1 should satisfy. Yes, there’s no ambiguity with this particular Note, it’s very much a tablet device. 

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 was officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February, where Pocket-lint got some hands-on time with the tablet.

In terms of specs, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is armed with a powerful 1.4GHz quad-core processor, five-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. From launch a Wi-Fi version will be available as will a Wi-Fi and 3G HSPA-Plus variant. A Wi-Fi and LTE version will be introduced later this year.

As with the original Samsung Galaxy Note, the 10.1 comes boxed with Samsung’s S Pen, which enables the user to scribble notes on the screen, while the stylus can also be used in specific applications such as Adobe Photoshop Touch. 

August looks set to be a busy month for the Galaxy Note family, with Samsung expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 2 at IFA on 30 August.
