Ireland's manager for Samsung Mobile, Gary Twohig, has confirmed that Samsung will be launching a 10-inch version in 2011:

"Twohig also revealed that Samsung is preparing to launch a 10-inch version of the Galaxy Tab by the first half of 2011 which will also come with Android and a V8 Javascript engine", the is reporting.

The news confirms earlier comments to Pocket-lint that Samsung will be releasing more tablets in 2011, and that there will be a whole range of different models:

"Based on our market research, people have different desires, so we are definitely going to have different sizes of tablets", DJ Lee, head of global sales and marketing, told Pocket-lint at the beginning of September.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab is expected to launch in the UK at the beginning of November.

Although Samsung says that it will be sold through operators like Vodafone at a subsidised price, without subsidy it is currently carrying a recommended retail price of £800 with retailers like Amazon setting a pre-order price of around £600.
