Nokia is to sell the Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet in the UK exclusively through John Lewis retail outlets, on the high street and online.

It will be available from 4 December for £399.99 and a number of colour options will be offered, including gloss finished red and black silk.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 is the company's first Windows 8.1 tablet. It comes with 4G connectivity, a 10.1-inch Full HD display, 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 6.7-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera for video calling.

There is 2GB of RAM on board along with 32GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot allows for expansion by up to a further 32GB and free SkyDrive cloud storage is packaged. You also get free access to Here Maps.

Battery life is claimed at up to 11 hours for video playback, thanks to a whopping 8,000mAh battery inside. You get even more when coupled with an optional Nokia Power Keyboard.
