The Nokia Lumia 2520 may be launching this Friday on AT&T, but it looks like another US carrier has swooped in and decided to offer the tablet one day earlier.

Verizon has announced that the Nokia Lumia 2520 will land online and at selected retail stores on 21 November. It will be available for $399.99 (£248) with a two-year contract as part of a limited-time deal. Pricing will remain at $499.99 without contract.

Nokia’s first Windows RT tablet has a 10.1-inch 1080p display, optional keyboard cover, 8,000 mAh battery, 6.7-megapixel rear camera, support for LTE, and a bunch of pre-loaded Windows 8 apps. Aside from band differences, the Verizon and AT&T models appear to be the same.

As for colour options, Verizon said it would keep only black models in stores. Interested buyers can still choose from red or black variants when shopping online. A Verizon customer can also add the tablet to a Share Everything plan for $10 a month.
