Microsoft has announced the launch of the Microsoft Surface 2 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 pre-order and release dates for those that want to get the new tablet that's more powerful than most laptops.
The new tablets from Microsoft will go on pre-order around the world - well the 22 launch countries - starting 24 September at 8am in the US (EST) and 1pm (UK).
Customers will have to wait until 22 October however, before the device will actually go on sale.
The tablets will be available in 22 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Microsoft has stated that the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 will be available in China in early November before presumably rolling out to other countries in 2014.
To accompany the new tablets Microsoft has a series of new accessories to go with the Surfaces including a new and improved Type Cover.
