Lenovo has announced a new line-up of Android tablets at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona. Adding two 7-inch devices in the A3000 and the A1000, and a 10-inch model in the S6000, there’s something for everyone.

Starting at the top, the S6000 is a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 resolution device, offering 149ppi pixel density from the IPS display. It’s said to benefit from “style and convenience”, with a 8.6mm thickness and weighing an average 560g.

In terms of power the Lenovo S6000 tablet is pretty exciting, with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, with the option of HSPA+ connectivity too. It’s pitched as a “home entertainment” centre, with an HDMI port allowing connection to a larger display.

The battery is said to last for 8 hours, but other details are a little light on the ground.

The A3000 and A1000 are both 7-inch devices, entering the formidably competitive tablet sector containing the Nexus 7, Kindle Fire HD and iPad mini, to name but a few.

The Lenovo A3000 offers performance specs, again with a quad-core processor like the S6000, but this time rocking a 7-inch 1024 x 600 (169ppi) IPS display.

This model is 11mm thick and weighs an acceptable 340g, so it’s going to be nice and portable. There’s a microSD card slot for memory expansion and once again you get the option of HSPA+.

The third device announced today is the Lenovo A1000. The headline sell of this tablet is the inclusion of Dolby Digital Plus, with front-facing speakers designed to give you great sound. Lenovo says the A1000 delivers “an audio experience normally reserved for more expensive tablets” - we wonder how it compares to the audio performance of the excellent Kindle Fire HD?

It has a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 16GB of internal storage, again with microSD card slot to expand the storage if you wish. The new Android tablets come with Android Jelly Bean and, to get you connected instantly, have Lenovo Mobile Access, if that’s offered in your territory.

There’s no word on pricing yet or those additional specs, but the new Lenovo Android tablets are slated for availability from Q2 2013. We'll update with more details when we get them.
