Carphone Warehouse has joined UK retailer Clove in pricing and dating the HTC Flyer in the UK. HTC?s tablet will cost £600 when it launches in May.

The news means that the single-core, stylus-touting tablet - which runs HTC Sense - will be more expensive that Apple?s iPad and the Motorola Xoom at launch unless operators in the UK get heavy-handed and subsidise it.

Although HTC has yet to officially set a date other than Q2, or a price for that matter, as this is the second time that Pocket-lint has heard the same price now, we're pretty sure that Carphone Warehouse is spot-on with its pricing.

We might find out more later today after the HTC London launch event.

UPDATE: HTC have confirmed that the HTC Flyer UK release date is 9 May.
