Without making a big fuss, HP has launched an 8-inch Android tablet in the US called the HP 8. It is a budget tablet with mid-to-low range specs.

The HP 8 features a 7.85-inch IPS display with a 1024x768-pixel resolution, an ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processor made by China-based Allwinner, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, MicroSD expansion slot, 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity, and a 3800mAh Lithium polymer battery that'll serve up seven hours of life.

The HP 8 comes with a pair of cameras, too. It has a 0.3MP front-facing camera and a 2MP rear-facing camera. It also weighs 0.69 lbs and has the following measurements: 200.3mm x 136.3mm x 7.95 mm. As for the operating system, HP's latest slate comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
