BlackBerry maker Research In Motion has shown off a new concept app for its BlackBerry PlayBook tablet that allows users to collaboratively share content with each other quickly and easily when in the boardroom.

Called Confetti, the app lets users share documents, pictures and more between multiple PlayBook tablets. Users with the app runing will simply be able to flick content to one another by selecting whichever colour the person you want to share with has picked.

In the demo on the company's stand at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona we were able to share either a pdf document with one other person or the same document to the whole group in seconds with a gesture on our PlayBook.

The new concept sadly isn't available for users to download yet from the App World. It will also require all users to be on the same wireless network - very much like the company's newly introduced Print To Go app launched in the BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 software update.

A RIM spokesman said he hoped it would be coming to the company's tablet at some point in the future.

Based on what Pocket-lint saw in our demo, there doesn't appear to be a limit to the number of PlayBooks able to participate.

We will keep you posted.
