RIM-lovers, want to know what's in store from the Canadian company in 2012? Well, N4BB thinks that it has got the low-down on the BlackBerry launch plans for this year and, most excitingly, it suggests two brand spanking new PlayBook tablets.

The 7- and 10-inch tabs will come rocking the new PlayBook 2.0 OS that is set to be unleashed in February. The smaller model is purportedly up first, with an April launch planned and the new 10-inch model will hit the shops in time for Christmas.

The 7-inch model is said to have just 3G+ connectivity, whilst its bigger brother will come packing LTE capabilities.

On the phone front, it's disappointing news for anyone hoping for a barrage of BlackBerry OS 10 handsets. Originally rumoured for a May release, the first BB OS 10 smartphone will now apparently go live in September 2012 and could be the only launch in that category this year.

That coincides with what Pocket-lint has uncovered. A couple of weeks back we reported that Research In Motion will show off its new operating system, BlackBerry OS 10, in February at Mobile World Congress, although BB OS 10 devices won't be in the hands of consumers until later in 2012.

The roadmap also hints at two more Curves landing in 2012, targeted at the East Asia and Africa markets.
