(Pocket-lint) - Asus has used its Computex press conference to announce updates to its three major families of Android tablets: Transformer Pad, MeMO Pad and Fonepad.

The new Transformer Pad line-up comes with a redesigned mobile keyboard dock with a hidden hinge. The TF103C and TF303CL tablets are each powered by Intel's 64-bit Atom Z3745 quad-core processor and the main difference between the models comes in screen resolution for the 10.1-inch displays.

The TF103C has a HD IPS display (1280 x 800) while the TF303CL has a Full HD IPS panel (1920 x 1200). The latter also comes with dual front speakers with SonicMaster audio and MaxxAudio software, plus 4G (LTE) connectivity.

Both tablets measure 257.4 x 178.4 9.9mm which once docked only adds a little to their waistlines (up to 19.8mm). The Transformer Pad TF103C will be available from 19 June in black or white, while the TF303CL will be available from the same date in blue or gold. Prices start at £199 for just the TF103C without the keyboard, £239 with the keyboard included.

The MeMO Pad range is enhanced by two screen sized devices that are very much aimed at the affordable end of the tablet market.

The Asus MeMO Pad 7 has, you might have guessed, a 7-inch screen and the MeMO Pad 8 has an 8-inch display. Both have pixel resolutions of 1280 x 800 and feature the same 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor as the new Transformer Pads.

The 8-inch edition is also available with 4G LTE connectivity and both have 5-megapixel rear-facing cameras, 2-megapixel front-facing.

The MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C) and MeMO Pad 8 (ME181C) will also be available from 19 June, with the former in white, black, blue, red or yellow, and the latter in white, black or purple options. Prices start at £119.

Finally, the Fonepad series has been refreshed to include 7- and 8-inch Android tablets that have 3G phone capabilities. They both use 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz quad-core processors and have screen resolutions of 1280 x 800.

Like the MeMO Pads, they both feature 5-megapixel rear cameras and 2-megapixel front-facing snappers.

All Fonepads will be available with dual SIM card slots and in black, white, gold and red. Price and availability is to be revealed.
