Asus has announced a new version of its Transformer Pad Infinity Android tablet/notebook with a 10.1-inch LED screen and massive 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution. To put it into perspective, that's higher than the resolution of the Retina display fourth-generation iPad.

Running the show is a quad-core 1.9GHz Nvidia Tegra 4 ARM Cortex-A15 processor and 72-core GeForce GPU, 2GB of RAM, and it is capable of outputting 4K video via the HDMI port.

There is also a port for USB 3.0 and the device is Bluetooth 3.0 enabled. Storage comes in 32GB flavour, and the dock comes with an SDXC card slot. The touchscreen features 10-point multitouch and boasts a 178-degree wide viewing angle.

The keyboard dock also has a separate battery, so extends life when the tablet is inserted.

Unveiled during the company's Computex 2013 press conference in its homeland of Taiwan, no release date or pricing details have been revealed as yet. Pocket-lint will bring you more information as we receive it.
