Asus has announced a Windows 8 (RT) version of the Transformer Prime, the Asus Tablet 600, at this year's Computex in Taipei. 

The Asus Tablet 600 - not to be confused with the Asus Transformer Book range, which also happens to be a Windows 8 tablet laptop hybrid - will run Windows RT, which makes Windows 8 possible on the Tegra 3-powered tablet.

There is also 2GB of RAM and a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 IPS+ touchscreen to let you enjoy the most the Metro UI has to offer. You also get WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, along with a digital compass and NFC. There is a front-facing 2-megapixel camera and a whopping 8-megapixel offering around the back complete with LED flash. 

There's no word on price or availability as yet, but anticipate there could be a launch to coincide with Microsoft's release of Windows 8. 

Meanwhile, for those who want a little more power, ASUS announced the Tablet 810 that will run an unnamed Intel processor. The new model will come with a 11.6-inch screen. Details include an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a Wacom digitizer with stylus support all in a casing thinner than a CD case - 8.7mm. As with the Tablet 600, you'll also be able to get a Qwerty keyboard dock to turn it into a laptop so you can do some work on the go.
