Apple will unveil the new iPad Pro models tomorrow, 30 October, during its "There's More in the Making" event in New York, but seems to have leaked a picture of the device already.

An icon found inside the latest beta build of iOS 12 shows an iPad Pro without a home button, thin bezels and rounded corners

This is thought to be the design of the new devices to be launched in a day's time.

The icon image, found by 9to5Mac, almost exactly matches previous leaks based on CAD specifications sent to case manufacturers. It adds validity to those too, therefore.

Some will be pleased that there is no notch shown at the top of the device. Although we do believe it will still have Face ID security technology.

The two new iPad Pros are said to come in 11-inch and 12.9-inch screen sizes, but will be smaller in dimension than their currently available equivalents. That's thanks to the thinner bezels, allowing for greater screen real estate with less physical bulk.

A new Pencil is expected too, with the Apple W1 chip allowing for easier pairing and magnetic connectivity to store it on the side of the new iPads.

We think the new models will represent the most significant generational upgrades for some time, the reasons for which we discuss here: Why the new iPad Pro will be most important for years.
