Wow. Pigs must surely be flying. Apple has accidentally leaked two yet-to-be-announced devices.

Ahead of the so-called iPad event on 16 October, Apple has mistakenly revealed the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 by updating the official user guide for iOS 8 in the iTunes Store with screenshots of the upcoming tablets, as spotted by tech blog 9to5Mac.

The pictures not only show what the new iPads presumably look like (not that different from their predecessors) but also that each features a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, something that's been long-rumoured to come to the iPad lineup.

The user guide also mentioned a burst photography mode for the iPad Air 2. Other than that, the user guide doesn't out too much more. Apple is still expected to give its latest tablets a more brawny chipset, such as the A8 or A8X, among other things.
