Apple has confirmed that the iPad Mini with Retina display will be available to buy in November. But with recent talk of supply chain issues, no specific date has been announced.

According to US retail chain Target we could see the device on sale from 21 November. While this date could be a guess by the company it does makes sense as it's just before the biggest sales day of the year in America, Black Friday. Generally the US and UK get the same release dates.

According to a recent report the numbers of iPad Mini with Retina display will be "ridiculously tight" owing to supply chain issues. This will remain that way until early 2014. So if you were planning on getting one for Christmas you had better strike fast.

The iPad Air will go on sale tomorrow and there should be plenty of those to go around.
