ZAGG on Tuesday unveiled two pricey-yet-thin keyboard accessories for the iPad mini with Bluetooth capability.

The ZAGGkeys Cover is $99.99 (£66) and self-dubbed "the most versatile Bluetooth keyboard on the market". It's only 6.3mm thick and features backlit keys, a built-in battery that allots three months of normal use before charging, a metal closure and a flexible hinge for multiple viewing angles. It also reverses so users can enjoy "convenient, one-piece reading and playing mode".

The slightly heftier ZAGGkeys Folio is a $99.99 keyboard and case combo. It's the thinnest folio available at 6.9mm thick, but it still provides full body protection. Like the ZAGGkeys Cover, the ZAGGkeys Folio offers a patented hinge with 135-degree viewing angles, backlit keys and a powerful battery.

"We are very excited about the new ZAGGkeys Cover and ZAGGkeys Folio," said Kent Wuthrich, ZAGG executive vice-president of marketing, in a press release. "They are lighter, more convenient and easier to use than any other tablet keyboard accessory on the market."

There is no release date set for either accessory, but ZAGG said the Cover would launch in both silver and black colour options. The Folio will initially come in black and white, though, with new colours landing by the autumn.

ZAGG's new designs were unveiled at CTIA 2013 in Las Vegas.
