Images of what is alleged to be the back cover of the new iPad mini have emerged, to give further insight into where the various ports, power button and volume keys will sit.
One of the images shows the empty casing sitting on top of a standard iPad, which gives some perspective to the smaller tablet - expected to sport a 7.85-inch display.
Again we see what is purported to be the smaller dock Apple is rumoured to be including in all future iOS devices and, despite some reports to the contrary, the headphone jack looks as though it will remain at the top of the device.
The hole in the top right-hand corner of the shell also suggests the camera in the new iPad mini will remain situated in the same position as previous iPad models, despite some suggestions that it could be moved into a central position.
The iPad mini is expected to be unveiled in October, when we’ll finally be able to separate the fact from the fiction.
