The 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX begins shipping today in the US with the UK to follow from 13 November. But there was no mention of the 8.9-inch model in the recent announcement.

The latest generation of Kindle Fire takes specs to another level.  For £200 you can expect a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 graphics and up to 11 hours of mixed-use battery life. A 1920 x 1200 resolution for the 7-inch (323ppi) model should look stunning.
