Apple held its special "There's More in the Making" on Tuesday 30 October in New York and several key new products were announced.

It will be posting the entire event video for you to catch up on here, but check out below for the low down on what was launched.

Apple iPad Pro

The main products to be announced were the all-new Apple iPad Pro models.

The iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch devices are smaller than their predecessors, thanks to a slimmer bezel that offers much more screen real estate on the front of the tablet.

They feature Face ID for the first time, so dispense with the home button, and the A12X Bionic chipset offers console quality graphics and performance.

They start at £919 and will be available from 7 November. A new, magnetic Pencil will also be available. It can be wirelessly charged through the new iPad Pros.

Apple MacBook Air

A new MacBook Air has been rumoured for years and is long overdue.

The 13.3-inch display is Retina at last and the latest models adopt 8th Gen Intel Core i5 processing and Touch ID tech for security.

A force touch trackpad and two Thunderbolt 3 ports are included, to differentiate the Air from the 12-inch MacBook.

The entry-level version starts at £1,199 and will be available from 7 November in Space Grey, Gold and Silver.

Apple Mac Mini

Also heavily rumoured before the event was a new Mac Mini and, after a four-year wait, we were not disappointed.

The new model is Space Grey (black) rather than silver as before, but it looks similar in size and shape.

What belies its form, however, is its power. It comes with either quad or hexa-core processing and DDR4 RAM up to 64GB. Storage can be spec'ed up to 2TB.

The entry level model, with 3.6GHz quad-core processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD, comes in at £799. It too is available for pre-order now for a 7 November release date.
