The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will soon be available in kid-size.
Called the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, the upcoming tablet looks like a Samsung-Playskool mash-up with its bright colours and preloaded educational apps. It also sports a 7-inch display at 1024-by-600 pixels, 3-megapixel front camera, 1.3-megapixel rear camera, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8 GB of storage.
The tablet runs on Android 4.1 - albeit a skinned-downed version of Jelly Bean. Moreover, alongside educational apps, there are games, eBooks and plenty of child-friendly content available in a new Kid's Store.
Parents are able to select apps they want their kids to have access to via the Application Manager, and they can use a Time Management feature for designating play times.
Speaking of child-friendly features, the tablet boasts a rugged frame and multiple stand options. That means the tablet can withstand most types of torture. There's even an easy-to-grip case and C stylus.
