Bose Smart Soundbar 900 review: Looks great, but does it sound great?

The addition of two upfiring channels - you can see one of them in this image - makes for a more immersive listening experience, with Dolby Atmos support. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Bose's ADAPTiQ headset is included, which measures the soundbar's outputs based on its position in the room, for enhanced sound. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Bass isn't massive from the bar alone, but you can add an additional subwoofer for a 5.1.2 setup. There's also a rear speaker package if you want full surround. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
The enhanced audio return channel (eARC) HDMI port means sound is automatically controlled irrelevant of source. Shame there's no passthrough port though. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
In addition to the Bose Music app, Wi-Fi, Airplay 2, Bluetooth, there's also an included remote. It's not a universal one, though, so can't handle your TV too. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
The Soundbar 900 is one of the best-looking models on the market - its top is too reflective though - with nicely immersive sound that's a tad light on bass. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
