(Pocket-lint) - Google's YouTube Music subscription service is now available as a streaming option on Sonos speakers.

It joins a long list of services supported by Sonos, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and Tidal, so was a essential next step for the youngest of the bunch.

Only those who subscribe to YouTube Music Premium or YouTube Premium (which includes Music Premium membership) can stream songs through Sonos speakers. But if you do already, you only need to set up your account with Sonos here and it will be integrated.

A YouTube Music Premium subscription is available as a one-month free trial for new users, then it costs £9.99 per month.

A family membership package costs £14.99 per month, which enables up to six family members to each use YouTube Music Premium individually for the one flat fee.

A Premium subscription is completely ad-free.

YouTube Music features that work on Sonos include playing recommended playlists, based on moods and favourites, new releases, and a personalised Mixtape playlist of tracks based on your favourite artists and new songs curated by the YouTube team.
