Pure Digital the makers of the Pure Evoke DAB radio has launched a new digital alarm clock radio to make waking up a pleasure.

Called CHRONOS, the unit features four alarms that can each be set for weekdays, weekends, every day or just as a one-off or for those moments that you find yourself sharing a bed with three other people.

The unit comes with a large, clear white-on-blue display has a dimmer control and is easy to see at night or in the daytime. The display shows the date and time even in standby and the time is constantly updated from the broadcast signal so users don't have to set it or worry about resetting it when the clocks go forward or back.

The 'sleep' button switches CHRONOS off automatically after 5, 10, 15 or up to 60 minutes. 'Snooze' can also be set for up to 60 minutes for the perfect lie-in.

As well as listening via the quality built-in speaker users can connect headphones for night time listening without disturbing their partner.

The CHRONOS will be available from a wide range of retailers for Christmas 2005 for £79.99.
