PURE Digital not content with launching a DAB microsystem this week has also announced today the launch of the PURE EVOKE-3, the latest update to its flagship DAB digital radio.

Fast becoming the Sky + of the radio world, according to Pure the EVOKE-3 brings together the best features of of its DAB digital radio range, including ReVu, SD-card support, MP3 playback, tri-band reception, USB upgradeability, SnoozeHandle and Electronic Programme Guide (EPG).

ReVu allows users to pause or rewind live DAB radio signals while the introduction of a SD-Card means that users will be able to record and take the shows with them.

The Evoke 3 also has a timer that combined with the included Electronic Programme Guide means you can set the radio to record specific programmes. The clock even automatically adjusts for summer/winter time.

Sound quality is ensured with integrated full range hi-fi speakers and a bass reflex port for enhanced bass performance.

Wanting to make sure that users got the latest firmware, the radio is now ‘USB Upgradeable' over an Internet connection via the PC.

EVOKE-3 incorporates SnoozeHandle technology. A simple touch of the handle will snooze the alarm, for a user defined length of time.

Other key EVOKE-3 features include line input (for iPod, CD, MiniDisc or MP3 device); kitchen countdown timer and multiple alarms.

As well as taking ordinary ‘C' cell alkaline batteries, EVOKE-3 is ChargePAK™ Ready. The ChargePAK C6 (bought separately; SSP £29.99) recharges in-unit to provide convenient DAB portability. The radio also features an ultra low-power standby mode.

EVOKE-3 will be on sale from November 2005 for £199.99
