Buoyed by the success of its previous team up, PURE has announced a new Orla Kiely designer radio. While the first Kiely-themed radio featured the designer's stem print, this new incarnation boasts Kiely's Abacus Flower print in a slate grey colour scheme.

"Since my first collaboration with PURE has been so popular, it made perfect sense to add a second radio to the range," Orla Kiely is quoted as saying in the radio's press release.

"I chose the slate grey, abacus flower print for this radio as it contrasts well with the first radio and fits in with my passion for creating quality and functional down-to-earth designs that complement
any home interior."

The radio that's been decaled is the PURE Evoke-1S. It boasts digital and FM radio, an input for an MP3 player, an OLED display, textSCAN and Intellitext for pausing and controlling scrolling text and storing info, an alarm, timer and 30 presets.

As usual when a gadget gets a designer's touch, you'll pay a premium. With a RRP of £149.99, the Orla edition is 50 quid more expensive than a standard EVOKE-1S.

Not the only designer DAB available (Cath Kidston has enjoyed a similar collaboration with Roberts) the "EVOKE Mio by Orla Kiely - Abacus Flower Edition" goes on sale at the end of this month exclusively at John Lewis.
