Creative has launched three new speaker systems for PC gamers and home entertainment enthusiasts.
The flagship model will be the GigaWorks ProGamer G500 speaker system that has been designed to complement Creative's new range of Sound Blaster X-Fi sound cards. The speaker set is THX certified and delivers 5.1 surround sound to dedicated gamers. The speaker set also offers 310 Watts RMS of power. The ProGaming satellites have 3-inch full-range drivers and Flared DynaPort™ technology for extended mid-to-high frequencies.
The ProGaming subwoofer combines a huge 8-inch, front-firing, long-throw driver for low-frequency performance and Twin Flared DynaPort technology for what Creative say will offer a cleaner, bigger, and more evenly dispersed bass.
The subwoofer incorporates an auxiliary input for use with an MP3 or other music player, enabling users to enjoy their own music. Other system features include Creative's CMSS™ function for up-mixing stereo inputs to 5.1, while the PowerTouch™ wired controller incorporates a headphone connector, mute, and independent level adjustment for the five satellites.
The speaker set will cost £199.99 when it launches later this month.
The company has also launched two further speaker sets; The Inspire T3030 and the Inspire T6060.
The Inspire T3030 is a 2.1 solution optimised for music listening, while the Inspire T6060 is a 5.1 solution optimised for games, surround-sound movies and music, incorporating an 18-Watt centre speaker to enhance dialogue.
The satellites in each system feature a two-way design that uses a separate tweeter and mid-range driver to deliver accurate hi-fi results. The high-quality wood subwoofer has a rigid design that incorporates a 5.25-inch long-throw driver and contoured flared port for a rock-solid bass performance.
The Inspire T3030 will cost £39.99, while the Inspire T6060 will cost £59.99.
